Exhibition frenzy
Finally, finished, catalogued, mounted and hung, the culmination of four months work with the final body of work, “Listen to the ice”, is ready to open to the public.
This last few months I’ve very privileged to share the studios here at An Talla Solais in Ullapool with ten other talented female artists and in a couple of days’ time we open our collective show. Landscapes, seascapes, portraits, prints and more. We’ve been a varied and diverse group of people, each with very individual artistic practices yet generous and willing to share skills, techniques and supportive positive critique of each others works.
The process of putting together the show started months’ ago, but the last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of, poster design, press releases, invitations, finishing, documenting, mounting, hanging, and of course partying.
The show is called ‘Glisk”, an Old Scots’ word meaning a ray of light on a winters’ day. Opening night (if you’re in the area) is Saturday 1st March at An Talla Solais in Ullapool
